The Chuncheon District Court's Criminal Division 1 sentenced Shin Mo (55) to the same one-year prison term with a two-year suspension as the first trial, along with 120 hours of community service. Shin received codes from members of an illegal gambling site via Telegram and set up seven gambling dens, profiting from them. He operated five gambling dens in Wonju, one each in Ulsan and Gyeongju, and had a previous conviction for a fine in 2021. The prosecution appealed, arguing that the suspended sentence was too lenient, but the appellate court rejected the appeal. Han So-hee's side stated that her mother's actions are unrelated to the actress.
