CUBE boy group NOW UNITED changes team name to ‘NOWZ’…Reinventing their identity
As they celebrate their 1st debut annIVErsary, CUBE Entertainment’s rookie boy group NOW UNITED has changed their team name to ‘NOWZ’ and embarked on a new starting line.
On June 2nd, CUBE revealed the new logo motion video of NOWZ through their official SNS channel, sharing this news.
‘NOWZ’ is a combination of ‘NOW’ and ‘Z’, embodying the meaning of ‘drawing infinite possibilities at this moment’.
The group declared a full-fledged rebranding, seeking not only a simple name change but also an expansion of their musical identity and vision.
This bold move is interpreted as a rookie group’s endeavor to establish their own color in the K-pop market.
Consisting of members Hyunbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhuk, and Siyun, NOWZ made their debut in April 2023 with the single ‘NOWADAYS’.
Continuously showcasing works such as ‘Rainy day (2024 Remake ver.)’, ‘NOWHERE’, ‘Let’s get it’, they proved their rookie spirit and energy through challenges.
They garnered attention both inside and outside the industry with experimental compositions and performances that transcend genres in each song.
Despite their short period of activity, their award history is impressIVE. They won the IS Rookie Award at the ‘2024 Korea Grand Music Awards’, the Blooming Star Award at the ’32nd Annual Hanteo Music Awards 2024′, and receIVEd recognition for their potential by performing on the ‘Golden Choice’ stage at the ’39th Golden Disc Awards’.
Subsequently, at ‘ASEA 2025’, they proved to possess a trendy sense by winning the ‘Hot Trend’ award.
CUBE stated, “NOWZ is redefining the team’s identity and vision, preparing for an expanded role within the K-pop market,” and announced, “They plan to communicate with global fans through even more evolved music and performances under the new name.”
Rebranding is crucial in clearly defining the group’s color and building a new narratIVE within the evolving K-pop ecosystem.
NOWZ does not settle for their current presence but shows determination towards the direction of the future.
