JTBC’s new weekend drama ‘Good Boy’ is garnering attention with its teamwork-filled behind-the-scenes cuts and the actors’ action-packed performances ahead of its first broadcast. ‘Good Boy’ is a youthful investigatIVE drama that depicts the reality and absurdity experienced by former national team medalists working at the police agency, along with their delightful adventures. The ‘Good Avengers’ consisting of Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-yi, Heo Sung-tae, and Taewon-seok are determined to capture both laughter and action. The released behind-the-scenes cuts capture the cheerful atmosphere on set, from Park Bo-gum and Kim So-hyun striking the same pose in front of Kim So-hyun’s nameplate, to Heo Sung-tae taking control of the scene with his comical makeup and Park Bo-gum joyfully riding a cart. The powerful special effects team on set couldn’t stop laughing, with actors testifying that laughter was constant, to the point where they were jokingly referred to as ‘Dangerous’ instead of ‘Good Avengers.’ Kim So-hyun mentioned, “Just making eye contact would make us burst into laughter,” while Heo Sung-tae shared, “Lee Sang-yi was the one who always made us hold back our laughter,” recounting funny moments from the set. The action still cuts reveal scenes tailored to each character’s special skills, such as Yoon Dong-joo showcasing boxing, Ji Han-na demonstrating marksmanship, and incorporating various sports like fencing, wrestling, and discus throwing against an urban backdrop, promising a unique spectacle. ‘Good Boy’ will premiere on May 31 at 10:40 p.m. on JTBC, with simultaneous worldwide release through Amazon Prime Video.
