YG Entertainment announced its plans for the second half of 2025, embarking on a full-scale lineup enhancement and rookie launch.
Yang Hyun-suk, the head producer, revealed the upcoming schedules of the agency’s artists and directly shared plans for the debut of trainee groups in a video interview released on the 26th, garnering anticipation from global fans.
After approximately 7 months of absence, he hinted at an aggressIVE promotional strategy through a newly revamped internal system.

Additionally, BLACKPINK is set to embark on a global world tour starting from July 5th, proving their strong influence.
Baby Monster’s activities will also continue at a steady pace.
Starting with the pre-release single ‘HOT SAUCE’ on July 1st, the second single in September and the first mini album in October are scheduled for release.
Yang described ‘HOT SAUCE’ as a highly addictIVE song inspired by late 1980s hip-hop genre, stating that it is a result of experimenting with the sense of 10 teenage girls reinterpreting music from 40 years ago.
TREASURE made a comeback with a mini album on September 1st and will embark on a large-scale world tour from October.
Yang mentioned that they will actIVEly support TREASURE to continue with album activities more than TWICE a year, emphasizing continuous interaction with fans.
This approach is seen as a further strengthened strategy compared to YG’s previous activities.
Concrete plans for the debut of rookie groups have also been revealed. Currently, YG is preparing for the debut of two male and two female teams each, with one 4-member girl group having completed member selection.
The practice videos being sequentially released starting from the 28th are aimed at showcasing the team’s skills without reservation, attracting attention in a similar way to Baby Monster in the past.
However, Yang Hyun-suk expressed a desire to focus more on the growth and establishment of Baby Monster, indicating that the official debut of the rookie girl group is likely to be after the end of next year.
The phrase ‘YG’s next girl group first member’ inserted at the end of the video further heightened fans’ curiosity.
Yang emphasized, “From the second half of this year, we will show YG’s new system and results,” prioritizing the development of new IPs as the primary task.
This interview is interpreted as a signal of YG’s strategic change and the full-scale launch of activities, drawing attention to the ripple effects it may have on the domestic and international music market.
