The controversy surrounding Baek started earlier this year with the ‘Backham Meal Kit’ quality controversy, followed by issues such as the origin of Brazilian chicken, cooking in rusty drums, using industrial scissors, suspicions of pesticide bottles in apple juice, and hygiene problems with fried chicken bones. As the controversy grew, he uploaded an official clarification video on the 6th, declaring a temporary break by stating, “I will suspend all broadcasting activities except for the programs currently being filmed.”
