AOA’s Chanmi, also known as Dohwa, surprised everyone by announcing her marriage.
On the 8th, Dohwa posted on her social media, “Hello, this is Dohwa. I have some news that I want to share directly with everyone who has watched over me and supported me until now,” revealing the news of her marriage.
She said, “I have met someone I want to walk forward with, and we will be getting married this coming June,” and described her fiancé as “someone who warmly supports me in every moment, someone very affectionate and dear. I hope to slowly introduce him to everyone soon.”
She also expressed, “If you bless our future with warm hearts and pray for us together, it will be a great source of strength for us.”
As there were no previous dating rumors, many were surprised by the sudden news of Dohwa’s marriage. Nevertheless, messages of congratulations and support for Dohwa’s future are pouring in.
Meanwhile, Dohwa debuted as a member of AOA in 2012, started her acting career by appearing in the web drama ‘What’s With Money?!’ in 2016. In 2023, she changed her legal name from Kim Chanmi to Im Dohwa, and her stage name to ‘Dohwa’, and recently showcased her acting skills in KBS2’s ‘Brain Cooperation’, the movies ‘When Our Love Leaves a Scent’, and ‘Wedding: Night of Salvation’, among others.
