Singer Kim Hyun-sung is releasing a new song after 15 years.

Singer Kim Hyun-sung, who was active as a leading balladeer in the 2000s with hit songs like ‘Heaven’ and ‘Wish,’ is releasing a new song after 15 years.

According to his agency Nextar Entertainment on the 4th, Kim Hyun-sung will release ‘Trying to Love Again’ on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the same day.

Having gone through a difficult time due to muscle tension dysphonia, Kim Hyun-sung has prepared for this comeback after a rehabilitation period of about three years.

‘Trying to Love Again’ is a collaboration between composer Jo Young-soo, who created the hit song ‘Now Trust Only Me’ by Lim Young-woong, and lyricist Kim Ina. It is a song that combines Kim Hyun-sung’s unique sentimentality and emotionally dense vocals on a melody that intricately reproduces the 90s pop ballad vibe.

This song goes beyond a simple love story, encapsulating Kim Hyun-sung’s own narrative with a dual message. Within the poignant lyrics yearning for a lover and dreaming of love again, lies a deep desire, courage, and willingness to start anew until grasping the microphone once more.

In the latter part of the song, the high note of D# in the 3-octave, which is the same as in his representative song ‘Heaven,’ catches attention. The released listening session short video before the release contains reactions from ‘Sing Again 2’ judges and long-time fans of Kim Hyun-sung, Kyuhyun, Yoon Do-hyun, and Kim Ina.

Kim Hyun-sung expressed his hope, “This song is like my response to the support sent by many people. It can be said that it is ‘the most Kim Hyun-sung-like song’ that I have prepared for a long time, pondered over, and created. I hope you can fully feel the message and emotions.”

The new song ‘Trying to Love Again’ after 15 years will be released today (4th) at 6 p.m.
