Actor Moon So-ri recently participated in a photo shoot for the fashion magazine ‘Elle.’ Portraying the character Ae-soon in the Netflix original series ‘Move to Heaven,’ Moon So-ri’s warm days were captured in the photo shoot, focusing on showcasing the blossoming beauty of Moon So-ri.
Following the shoot, an interview took place. Reflecting on the overwhelming love the work received, Moon So-ri shared, “More people than I expected, regardless of age or gender, shed tears. I’ve always believed that the outcome is just the fate of the work, and what remains for me are the connections and time formed through the work. ‘Move to Heaven’ will definitely be a piece that I would want to revisit multiple times. When my daughter goes to college or gets married, when I think of my mother, or when my husband and I grow old together, wouldn’t it be a work that I’d want to watch again?”
Moon So-ri also added, “If we were only going to depict the love story between Ae-soon and Gansik, the story wouldn’t have to be this long. However, it was good to express through numerous characters in the drama the inevitability that people change and come to realize things as time passes. As we age, there may come a moment when we understand everything.”
Having portrayed characters from their 30s to 70s, Moon So-ri was asked if there was a time when she feared aging herself. She responded, “After giving birth, my body felt so strange. I thought something was seriously wrong, but when I looked at photos from that time later, I looked young and pretty. Flowers, trees, all living things are bound to die eventually, so the strength and beauty we possess at that time are precious. I regret not being able to see that back then. I try to value the beauty that does not go against naturalness.”
Having actively participated in works such as ‘Jeongnyeon-i,’ where she made a special appearance as Seo Yong-rye, and as the Chief of Staff Lee Soo-kyung in ‘Hell Season 2’ last year, Moon So-ri expressed, “Perhaps I am the one doing the most diverse activities. Even if my roles become more limited here, I can’t complain. Senior actor Sul Kyung-gu mentioned that there are very few actors like me who work in theater, dramas, independent films, and commercial films interchangeably. Isn’t being such an actor a blessing?”
Moon So-ri is set to meet viewers once again through a special appearance in the upcoming MBC drama ‘Labor Inspector Labor Standards.’ Moon So-ri’s photo shoot and interview can be found in the May issue of ‘Elle’ and on the Elle website, and she can also be seen revealing special items on the YouTube content ‘Your Name Tag’ on the Elle YouTube channel.
