On April 14, 2020, CRAVITY made their debut in the music industry and quickly made their presence known by sweeping rookie awards at various award ceremonies. From their first full-length album Part 2, ‘LIBERTY : IN OUR COSMOS,’ they have consistently showcased their unique concepts and refreshing live performances centered around youth narratives through mini albums such as ‘NEW WAVE,’ ‘MASTER : PIECE,’ ‘SUN SEEKER,’ and ‘EVERSHINE,’ earning the titles of ‘VOCALVITY’ and ‘PERFOMVITY’ while establishing their group identity and continuing their stair-step growth.
Despite their continuous growth, CRAVITY did not stop challenging themselves. Last year, they appeared on Mnet’s ‘Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE,’ showcasing their outstanding skills and infinite potential, securing the top team ranking for three consecutive times and achieving an overwhelming victory with a total score of 200,000 points on the final stage.
Following the release of their single ‘FIND THE ORBIT’ in December last year, CRAVITY depicted the story of youth and their relentless challenges, showcasing even deeper musical capabilities and overwhelming performances. With this single, they achieved their highest first-week sales record, solidified their global popularity by charting on domestic and international music charts, and won the Performance Male Group award at the ‘2024 SUPERSOUND FESTIVAL,’ further enhancing their reputation in ‘PERFOMVITY.’
CRAVITY’s relentless pursuit of growth extended beyond Korea to the global stage. Through the global fan-con tour ‘BEYOND YOUR MEMORIES’ that started in September last year, they delivered diverse performances and high-quality stages, imprinting CRAVITY’s unique refreshing energy on the global K-pop market. Thanks to this momentum, their second mini album in Japan, ‘Jelly Bean,’ released on the 26th of last month, boasted hot global popularity by ranking 8th on the Oricon weekly album ranking and 3rd on the Tower Records comprehensive album chart.
In addition to their music activities, CRAVITY has been actively engaging in various broadcasts and contents. Through their official SNS, self-produced contents, cover videos, vlogs, they showcased outstanding entertainment skills and team chemistry. Especially, CRAVITY’s self-produced content ‘BEAT PARK’ has been curated with various themes since their debut, celebrating its 100th episode this year and becoming a ‘representative long-running K-pop content.’ Furthermore, they have demonstrated their skills through various entertainment shows such as MBC’s ‘King of Mask Singer,’ KBS2’s ‘Immortal Songs,’ as well as music show MC roles, talk show appearances, and regular variety show appearances, showcasing their presence in multiple aspects.
