Gahee Shares Childbirth and Parenting Stories with K.Will… “Miss the Stage, Still”

Former After School member Gahee opened up about childbirth, parenting, and her honest feelings about the stage in a conversation with singer K.Will.

In an episode released on the YouTube channel ‘My Brother-in-Law is K.Will’ on the 11th, Gahee’s human side and authenticity shone through.

K.Will asked Gahee, “Did you ever feel like you wanted to return to the stage after giving birth?”

To this, Gahee replied, “I really missed the stage, but I also felt a sense of stability from my family.” Her experience during childbirth especially captured the viewers’ attention.

Gahee revealed that she found out about her second pregnancy in Bali.

“I wasn’t feeling well, so I took a test. The first two were negatIVE, but the last one was positIVE. It was supposed to be a surfing trip, but it turned into a prenatal trip,” she reminisced.

The most dramatic moment was during her second childbirth.

“It wasn’t even my due date, but I suddenly started bleeding in my sleep.

At that time, I was filming ‘The Return of Superman,’ so I contacted the filming crew in the early morning while heading to the hospital.

In the end, filming continued at the hospital,” she said.

Although she wanted a natural birth, she had to undergo a cesarean section. She added, “It was mentally very difficult at that time.”

Recovering her strength and dieting after childbirth were also a series of challenges.

“I started exercising after breastfeeding, but I couldn’t engage my core at all,” she said. “To regain my abs, I exercised for three hours a day and cut out carbohydrates for three months.” She mentioned that she went through a rigorous diet for her first child, but approached it more flexibly for her second.

Gahee also reflected on her life in Bali.

She explained, “I had to charge my electricity and had limited use of a hairdryer.

I learned to be grateful for the simple life,” she said. K.Will joked, “You look like you came from the jungle.”

When K.Will mentioned Mnet’s ‘Street Woman Fighter,’ Gahee laughed and said, “I heard a lot of people say it reminded them of me,” and mentioned Lee Jung as a junior she keeps an eye on.

They also shared memories from their appearance on tvN’s ‘Mom is an Idol.’

At the end of the broadcast, Gahee confessed, “The stage is truly an irreplaceable space,” and K.Will agreed, saying, “If you dream of the stage, you can’t let go of that longing no matter what you do.”

K.Will continues to conduct interviews with various guests every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. on ‘My Brother-in-Law is K.Will.’
