2NE1’s Park Bom Absent from LA Concert… Agency States “Scheduled Absence, Not a Sudden Situation”
After reuniting after 8 years and continuing their actIVE stage performances, 2NE1, with a lineup of three members, performed on stage at a concert in the United States, where the absence of member Park Bom was explained by the agency.
2NE1 reunited on June 1st in Los Angeles, USA, for the ‘Head In The Clouds LA 2025’ music festival, reuniting with overseas fans after a long time.
This stage was an extension of the world tour that 2NE1 embarked on officially after reuniting last year, and the response from local fans was also enthusiastic.
However, only three members, CL, Sandara Park, and Gong Minzy, appeared on stage, and Park Bom’s presence was not seen.
Especially, on the day before the concert, on May 21st, Park Bom had shared a post on her SNS showing herself in Los Angeles with the caption “Park Bom in LA,” raising even more curiosity about her absence from the concert.
The day after the concert, CL, Sandara Park, and Gong Minzy each posted photos from the LA concert venue on their SNS, expressing gratitude to the fans.
In those photos, Park Bom’s absence was clearly evident, and various speculations ranging from health issues to internal conflicts were raised online.
In response, Park Bom’s agency, D-Nation, officially stated their position on June 4th.
An agency official stated, “Park Bom was in Korea on the day of the concert, as it was a pre-discussed schedule,” and added, “We had already informed fans about this last month, and there were no special changes or sudden situations.”
In other words, there were no urgent issues that fans were concerned about, and the explanation is that Park Bom did not appear on stage according to the originally planned schedule.
After disbanding in 2016 and pursuing individual activities, 2NE1 made a full group comeback in October 2023, receiving a warm welcome from fans.
Since then, they have been showcasing their presence as a group by performing at solo concerts and award shows in Japan, Macau, Seoul, and more.
Especially, the ‘WELCOME BACK’ encore concert held at the Seoul KSPO DOME in April was a stage that marked the climax of their reunion tour.
Park Bom has been continuing her actIVE individual activities even after the reunion stage, and her focus on health and music work is indirectly conveyed through the agency.
Although absent from the LA concert, the possibility of returning to the stage as a full group remains open, so attention is still focused on their future schedules.
