The recent dating rumor involving G-Dragon and TWICE’s Sana, where both names were mentioned simultaneously, is officially stated by the agencies to be a ‘misinterpretation’ different from reality. On June 2, G-Dragon’s agency, YG Entertainment, clearly drew a line by stating, “The spreading dating rumor is groundless, and the two are just colleagues who appeared together in content.” The dating rumor began at Coldplay’s concert in Seoul on April 22. At that time, G-Dragon, who attended the concert, shared a photo of Sana appearing on the LED screen on his Instagram story and tagged her personal account. The issue was that even though other TWICE members were present at the event, only Sana was tagged, leading fans to quickly speculate about a ‘special relationship.’ However, the agency explained that if one understands the filming location from a few weeks prior, the scene was simply an expression of friendliness. On April 14, G-Dragon appeared on the YouTube web variety show ‘Dex and Sana’s Cold Interview.’ His appearance was decided due to his friendship with the host Dex, and Sana was confirmed as a co-guest the day before the recording. There was a reason why the agency did not immediately clarify the dating rumor despite its outbreak. Mentioning the appearance before the release of the Cold Interview content could potentially spoil the show. Now that the content has been released, the agency stated regarding the dating rumor, “It was just a misunderstanding on social media.” G-Dragon is currently preparing for his next activities and is considering a strong response, including legal action, against the spread of false information related to the dating rumor. Sana, on the other hand, continues to expand her area by appearing in various content outside of TWICE’s activities.
