The production team of JTBC weekend drama ‘More Beautiful Than a Flower’ (directed by Kim Seok-yoon, written by Lee Nam-gyu and Kim Soo-jin, produced by Studio Phoenix and SLL) released still cuts featuring Lee Haesuk (Kim Hye-ja) and Pastor Ryu (Ryu Deok-hwan) challenging the heaven’s lottery, along with the intriguing atmosphere of Go Nak-joon (Son Seok-gu) and Somi (Han Ji-min) ahead of the 10th episode broadcast on the 18th.
In the previous episode, Lee Haesuk bid a tearful farewell to Lee Young-ae (Lee Jung-eun). Unable to accept the fact that her irresponsible father, who abused and neglected her in her childhood, has a place in heaven, Lee Young-ae confronted the center director (Chun Ho-jin), who explained that her father’s punishment in the afterlife was ‘filial piety.’ The revelation that Lee Young-ae and Lee Haesuk were connected through a past life as a married couple, with Lee Haesuk being their daughter, shocked them both. Meanwhile, Lee Haesuk participates in the ‘Lottery Festival’ for Lee Young-ae. The Lottery Festival is a heavenly big event that determines the lucky winner who will reveal the winning numbers for the dreams of loved ones. In the photos released that day, Lee Haesuk is seen searching for the key to open the door to the final round of the Lottery Festival with Pastor Ryu. Lee Haesuk, more desperate than anyone else, hopes to change Lee Young-ae’s life, who is left alone in the afterlife like a daughter. The awkward expression on the pastor’s face, witnessing the scene filled with desires, reveals the relationship between the two and evokes laughter.
In another photo, a strange atmosphere is sensed between Go Nak-joon and Somi. Go Nak-joon, who was always affectionate, now wears an angry expression, while Somi sheds tears, adding to the curiosity about what memory has resurfaced. Through the preview, a conversation between Somi asking, “I don’t know who I am, but you know, right, Mr. Nak-joon?” and Go Nak-joon replying, “It doesn’t matter who you are. Don’t say useless things to Haesuk,” was revealed, heightening anticipation for the upcoming episode.
In the 10th episode airing on the 18th, Somi dreams of a child named ‘Eun-ho’ and gains some conviction about her and Go Nak-joon’s identities. As Somi delves into her memories, Go Nak-joon’s heart grows heavier.
