The Netflix series ‘The Silent Sea Class 2’ is quietly but powerfully making its mark. After being released worldwide through Netflix on April 25th, ‘The Silent Sea Class 2’ achieved the top spot in 32 countries just two days later, and it continues its global success into its third week. According to Netflix’s data, ‘The Silent Sea Class 2’ confidently claimed the top spot in the global TOP10 non-English series category by garnering 6.1 million views in its first week of release (4/21~4/27), and in its second week (4/28~5/4), it recorded 6.4 million views, securing the 2nd spot on the same chart. In its third week from May 5th to May 11th, it landed in 4th place on the same chart with 2.4 million views. As ‘The Silent Sea Class 1’ had consecutively made it to the global TOP10 non-English series category for six weeks after its release on Netflix, there is keen interest in whether ‘The Silent Sea Class 2’ can continue its reputation. Attention is also focused on the future activities of Park Jihoon, who played the protagonist Yeon Shi-eun, and Baek Na-ra, who portrayed the villain Na Baek-jin.
