Actor Hwang Jung-eum has expressed her thoughts on remarriage. On the episode of the SBS Plus and E Channel entertainment program ‘Sololara’ that aired on the 13th, Hwang Jung-eum made an appearance. On this day’s broadcast, Hwang Jung-eum, who went on a date with her father living in Jeju Island, asked, “Is it better for me to remarry or not?” In response, Hwang Jung-eum’s father drew a clear line, saying, “Remarriage should never be done.” He continued, “Now you should unfold what you want to do. However, it is essential to have a friend with whom you can have a glass of wine in the evening. As a mother who focuses on the two children and strives to be a responsible mother without any discord, you must have a sense of responsibility.” Upon hearing her father’s words, Hwang Jung-eum also strongly denied the idea of remarriage, saying, “I absolutely have no thoughts about it.” Hwang Jung-eum reminisced, “When I got married, my dad said, ‘Even if you know the road well, you don’t know the person well.’ Now, if I have a boyfriend, I think I should introduce him to my dad and get his approval.” Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum married former professional golfer Lee Young-don in 2016. After four years of marriage, she filed for divorce mediation in September 2020 but reconciled in July 2021. However, it was reported last February that they were in the process of divorcing again, just three years after their reconciliation.
