The Netflix series “Youth of May” (written by Lim Sang-choon, directed by Kim Won-seok, produced by Pan Entertainment and Baram Pictures) attracted attention by winning in four categories including Best Drama, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor and Actress at the ’61st Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci’ in the broadcast category held at COEX D Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 5th. Prior to this, the series had been nominated in eight categories including Best Drama, Best Director, and Best Screenplay, proving itself to be the most talked-about work of 2025. Park Sang-hyun, the CEO of Pan Entertainment, the main production company of “Youth of May,” expressed his gratitude, saying, “I think this award is possible because of the support from Netflix CEO Kang Dong-han and co-producer Park Ho-sik, as well as all the staff members.” He added, “They say stories never disappear from people’s side. I will strive to make the drama a source of small joy, comfort, and emotion for all of you.” Writer Lim Sang-choon also shared his thoughts, saying, “I hope this drama becomes one that makes you want to call your parents and hug your child once more,” and expressing gratitude to director Kim Won-seok, the actors, staff, and viewers. “Youth of May” tells the adventurous story of Yoo Myung-jin, born in Jeju in the 1950s, and his unyielding determination, unfolding throughout the four seasons.
