
Actress Kwak Sun-young graced the pictorial of the fashion & lifestyle magazine . The interview conducted after the photoshoot was released on the 29th. Kwak Sun-young shared her thoughts on celebrating her 20th debut anniversary, saying, “People around me have been saying that it’s my 20th debut anniversary this year. However, those 20 years feel like a moment to me. There were times when time didn’t pass, and there were times when it passed quickly, but looking back now, it feels like a scene from a moment.” This year, marking her 20th debut anniversary, Kwak Sun-young also made her screen debut with the movies and . She humbly expressed, “Acting in movies was something I really wanted to do, but I didn’t expect to meet such great works. I am grateful to be able to release two works consecutively.”
Through and , Kwak Sun-young once again proved her abilities by showing similar yet opposite faces at the same time. She stated, “Being able to portray various characters is a great fortune for an actor. Many people praised me for showing a new side of myself through the work , but I personally didn’t know. I tend to focus on how well I performed the role, so I’m not very aware of how I appear in the work. Nevertheless, watching it on screen, I realized that subtle eye movements, subtle breathing, and other details convey the character’s psychological state more effectively.” When asked about the empathy she felt towards the character ‘Yeong-eun’ in , who is both an actress and a mother like Kwak Sun-young, she mentioned, “I felt really sorry for Yeong-eun. Daughter ‘Sohyun’ has a mother to take care of her. Of course, Yeong-eun also has a mother, but she didn’t have an attitude to deeply understand Yeong-eun’s situation. I wonder how lonely she must have been.”

The interview continued with a discussion on the slogan ‘FUN’, ‘FEARLESS’, ‘FEMALE’. When asked if she is a cheerful and courageous woman like the slogan, Kwak Sun-young shared, “I recently had a gathering with my college classmates. At that time, a classmate from 20 years ago who remembered my past self said that I was always brave and courageous. Looking back, I think I always broke through things head-on. These days, I have ice hockey as a hobby, and standing on the ice rink itself can be intimidating. However, I believe that I can overcome it because I have to overcome it to do what I want.
