According to Building Road Real Estate agency on the 27th, Choi Siwon bought a detached house with a land area of about 89 square meters (27 pyeong) and 2 floors near Apgujeong Rodeo Street in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 11 billion won in September 2015, and then built a 136 square meter (41 pyeong) 3-story building after investing hundreds of millions of won. The current estimated price of the building located in the commercial area near Apgujeong Rodeo Station, close to Dosan Park, is 5.4 billion won. It is expected that there will be a price difference of about 4 billion won compared to the purchase cost (14 billion won) when combining the purchase cost of the building with transaction costs and construction costs. Kim Kyung-hyun, the head of Building Road Real Estate agency, said, “From March to November last year, there were cases of selling at prices ranging from 2.12 billion won to 3 billion won per pyeong (3.3 square meters) in the vicinity of Choi Siwon’s building,” and added, “Considering factors such as the age of the building, location requirements, and road conditions, multiplying the expected price per pyeong of 2 billion won by Choi Siwon’s building land area of 27 pyeong results in 5.4 billion won, and an estimated price difference of about 4 billion won over 10 years.”
