BTS has added another significant record on the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify. According to Big Hit Music on the 26th, BTS’s fourth full-length album ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’ track ‘Black Swan’ has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on Spotify (as of March 25th). ‘Black Swan’ is a dreamy track that combines trap drum beats, poignant lo-fi guitar melodies, and a catchy hook, with BTS’s introspective message about the meaning of music reflected in the lyrics. Prior to the release of their fourth full-length album, ‘Black Swan’ was pre-released in January 2020 and gained significant popularity by entering the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart (57th place) and the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100 (46th place). Additionally, it has consistently received love, even receiving a ‘Gold’ certification in the streaming category from the Japan Record Association in 2024. BTS has released a total of 127 songs with over a billion streams on Spotify, including hits like ‘Dynamite’ with 2 billion streams, ‘My Universe,’ ‘Butter,’ and ‘Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)’ with over 1 billion streams each. Among them, there are 14 songs with over 500 million streams. Not only group songs, but also solo songs by BTS members boast powerful streaming numbers.
