Following their sold-out performances at Kanagawa Pia Arena MM on the 14th, 15th, and 16th as part of their Japan tour, Babymonster once again proved their strong local ticket power by attracting a crowd of 24,000 over two days, with even obstructed view seats opened up.
Having built a solid fandom through a fan meeting tour last year, Babymonster’s members’ skills and high level of performance have spread through word of mouth among local music fans, fueling their rise. Fans are in awe of their flawless execution of the entire setlist with handheld microphones during the tour.
Local music industry insiders are taking note of Babymonster’s influence, which goes beyond mere popularity to encompass mass appeal. Their reach has expanded not only to existing K-pop listeners but also to fans of various genres, showing high levels of favorability across age groups. YG’s strategy of targeting the global market from their debut seems to be paying off.
Buoyed by fervent support, the scale of their tour continues to expand. Babymonster surprised fans by announcing an additional show in Kanagawa on April 11th during this tour. They are expected to meet fans at Osaka’s Azalea Arena on April 3rd and 4th, Kanagawa’s K-Arena Yokohama on April 11th, 12th, and 13th, and Fukuoka International Center on April 19th and 20th, aiming to draw a total of 100,000 fans on their Japan tour, setting various records along the way.
Following this, they will move on to meet Asian fans in Singapore, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei. In the second half of the year, they will hold a second North American tour in Toronto, Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle.
