TWICE to release Japanese best album ‘#TWICE5’

The group TWICE is set to meet their Japanese fans after 3 years with their best album ‘#TWICE5’. TWICE will release their Japanese best 5th album ‘#TWICE5’ on May 14th. This new release is the fifth installment in TWICE’s best album series, following ‘#TWICE4’ released in March 2022, making it their first local best album in about 3 years and 2 months. The album includes Japanese versions of several hit songs that have received great love from global K-pop listeners, such as “Talk that Talk,” “SET ME FREE,” and “ONE SPARK,” gathering enthusiastic responses from local fans. In the new group concept photos unveiled on the official Japanese SNS channel at 0:00 on the 21st, TWICE exudes a bright and refreshing atmosphere with vibrant orange color styling. The relaxed and fresh smiles of the nine members, as if enjoying a midday picnic in a field, convey a pleasant energy and raise anticipation for the new release. Since their official debut in Japan in June 2017, TWICE has been loved for their major achievements in dominating major music and album charts with various works leading up to their 5th full-length album ‘DIVE’ released in July 2024, as well as winning prestigious awards. In particular, as part of their fifth world tour ‘TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’,’ which attracted a total of 1.5 million cumulative audience members, they solidified their status by drawing tens of thousands of spectators at large venues in Japan such as Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, and Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa, where they became the first foreign female artist to perform. Furthermore, they will serve as special guests at the upcoming concert of the British band Coldplay’s ‘Coldplay Music Of The Spheres World Tour’ at Goyang Gymnasium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province in April. They are also scheduled to continue their activities as the ‘global top girl group’ by headlining the massive music festival ‘Lollapalooza Chicago’ at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois on August 2nd (local time).
