K-POP artist Jimin from South Korea has won the ‘K-POP Song of the Year’ category at the American iHeartRadio Music Awards. This is due to the title track ‘Who’ from his second solo album ‘MUSE’. Jimin has previously won at this ceremony as a group member for seven years, but this time, he lifted the trophy as a solo artist for the first time. The iHeartRadio Music Awards is a music awards ceremony hosted by the American online radio broadcaster iHeartRadio since 2014, awarding the artists and songs that have been played the most on iHeartRadio broadcasts and applications over the past year. ‘Who’ entered the US Billboard main song chart ‘Hot 100’ immediately after its release and has remained on the chart for a total of 32 weeks so far. This is the longest chart record for a K-POP solo artist. In addition, ‘Who’ has surpassed 1.5 billion cumulative plays on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. According to Spotify’s ‘2024 Wrapped Year-End Summary’ campaign, this song was the most played K-POP song worldwide last year and the most listened to song by Korean users.
