CJ ENM’s Japanese label ‘LaPhone Entertainment’ has succeeded with idol groups, leading to the success of K-POP’s localization strategy. The boy group ‘INI’ achieved million-seller status with a single album in 2024, becoming one of only two boy groups in Japan to do so. Also, ‘JO1’ shined by receiving the Excellence Award at the end-of-year Japan Record Awards, given to only 10 popular songs, with their song ‘Love seeker.’ CJ ENM’s girl groups also made significant achievements, with the 11-member girl group ‘ME:I’ winning the Rookie Award at the ‘Japan Record Awards,’ and the 4-member girl group ‘IS:SUE’ topping the Oricon weekly singles chart with their debut song. CJ ENM evaluates this success as the result of the Music Creative eco-System (MCS) and has expressed its commitment to further efforts in globalizing K-POP.
